English translation

5647. It was narrated from Asmâ' bint Yazîd that a paternal uncle of hers whose name was Anas said: "Ibn 'Abbâs said: Does not Allâh say: "And whatsoever the Messenger (Muḥammad) gives you, take it; and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it)."?[1] He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Does not Allâh say: 'It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allâh and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision'?[2] I said: 'Yes.' He said: 'I bear witness that the Prophet of Allâh ﷺ forbade An-Naqîr, Al-Muqayyar, Ad-Dubbâ', and Al-Hantam.'" (Sahîh)
