English translation

612. It was narrated that 'Abdullâh bin Mas'ûd said: "I asked the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ which action is most beloved to Allâh? He said: 'Establishing prayer on time, honoring one's parents and Jihâd in the cause of Allâh.'" (Sahîh)

Arabic text

611 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ النَّخَعِيُّ سَمِعَهُ مِنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّ الْعَمَلِ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ؟ قَالَ: «إِقَامُ الصَّلَاةِ لِوَقْتِهَا، وَبِرُّ الْوَالِدَيْنِ، وَالْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ»
