Commentary

Bilal ﷺ pronounced the Adhân before the break of dawn. This Adhân used to be for the dawn prayer but was pronounced before its time, so that people could become free of their individual needs (relieving oneself, taking a bath, etc.) till the second Adhân is called. This gave them time to reach the mosque after the second Adhân, which resulted in the prayer being performed in its first moments.
