English translation
1027. It was narrated from ‘Alqamah, that Abdullāh said: “Shall I not tell you about the prayer of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ?” He stood and raised his hands the first time then he did not do that again.” (Da‘if)

١٠٢٦ - أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: «أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِصَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: فَقَامَ فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ، ثُمَّ لَمْ يُعِدْ».

Commentary
This Hadīth is not as strong as the Ahādīth that prove the legislation of Raf Al-Yadayn. Many Hadīth scholars have deemed this Hadīth weak, and yet many others have called it authentic; the whole chapter of Ahādīth on Raf Al-Yadayn are thoroughly authentic. The Ahādīth of Al-Bukhari and Muslim are authentic. Besides, narrations that support the practice of Raf Al-Yadayn are very large in number. Would it be adequate on any count to abandon the reports of numerous Companions of the Prophet ﷺ while acknowledging merely the report of Ibn Mas‘ūd?
