English translation

2002. It was narrated that 'Alī said: "I saw the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ stand so we stood, and we saw him sit, so we sat." (Sahīh)

Arabic text

2000 - أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ مَسْعُودِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ فَقُمْنَا وَرَأَيْنَاهُ قَعَدَ فَقَعَدْنَا»
