English translation
229. It was narrated that 'Āishah said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ used to perform Ghusl from a vessel which was the size of a Faraq[1] and he and I used to perform Ghusl using a single vessel." (Saḥīḥ)

228 - أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَغْتَسِلُ فِي الْقَدَحِ - وَهُوَ الْفَرَقُ - وَكُنْتُ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَهُوَ فِي إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ»

Commentary
The term used in the Hadīth is Faraq. This equals three Sā', according to the Sa' of Arabia (one Sā' equals approximately 2.03 liters).
