English translation

2566. It was narrated from Abû Bujaid Al-Anşârî from his grandmother that the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: "Respond to the one who asks even with a sheep's foot." According to the narration of Hârûn: "With a sheep's burned foot." (Sahîh)

Arabic text

2565 - أَخْبَرَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ ابْنِ بُجَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ جَدِّتِهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «رُدُّوا السَّائِلَ وَلَوْ بِظِلْفٍ - فِي حَدِيثِ هَارُونَ - مُحْرَقٍ»
