English translation
2586. 'Abdullâh bin 'Amr said: "The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: ‘A man will keep on asking until on the Day of Resurrection he will come with not even a shred of skin on his face.’” (Sahîh)

2585 - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ حَمْزَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا يَزَالُ الرَّجُلُ يَسْأَلُ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَيْسَ فِي وَجْهِهِ مُزْعَةٌ مِنْ لَحْمٍ»

Commentary
Reward and punishment in the Afterlife would identically match the worldly deeds. This man disgraced his countenance by continual begging, so much so that he lost his worth before people. None was prepared to regard him with respect. On the Day of Judgment also, his face will be in such a state that no one would be prepared to glance at it, nor would he have any honor or grace. May Allâh protect us from such an end!
