2905. It was narrated from Al-Aswad that the Mother of the Believers said: "The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: 'Were it not for the fact that my people' – according to the narration of Muḥammad he said: 'your people' – 'have recently left Jāhiliyyah, I would have knocked down the House and given it two doors.'" When Ibn Az-Zubair was in power, he gave it two doors. (Sahih)
2902 - أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَقَ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ، أَنَّ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، قَالَتْ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَوْلَا أَنَّ قَوْمِي - وَفِي حَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدٍ قَوْمَكِ - حَدِيثُ عَهْدٍ بِجَاهِلِيَّةٍ لَهَدَمْتُ الْكَعْبَةَ، وَجَعَلْتُ لَهَا بَابَيْنِ» فَلَمَّا مَلَكَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ، جَعَلَ لَهَا بَابَيْنِ
