English translation

2923. It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbâs that the Prophet ﷺ passed by while he was circumambulating the Ka’bah with a man who was leading another with a ring in his nose. The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ stopped him with his hand then told him to lead him by his hand. (Sahîh)

Commentary

Tawâf, or going round the Ka’bah, is worship. It is also called prayer. The reason for this is that Tawâf has been ordained for the remembrance of Allâh, Most High. Therefore, there should not be any futile talk in it.
