3072. It was narrated that 'Abdur-Raḥmân - meaning bin Yazîd - said: "It was said to 'Abdullâh bin Mas'ûd, that some people were stoning the Jamrat from above Al-'Aqabah." He said: "So 'Abdullâh stoned it from the bottom of the valley, then he said: 'From here - by the One beside Whom there is no other God - did the one to whom Sûrat Al-Baqarah was revealed, stone it.” (Sahîh)
3070 - أَخْبَرَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي مُحَيَّاةَ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ: قِيلَ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ: إِنَّ نَاسًا يَرْمُونَ الْجَمْرَةَ مِنْ فَوْقِ الْعَقَبَةِ، قَالَ: «فَرَمَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ مِنْ بَطْنِ الْوَادِي» ثُمَّ قَالَ: «مِنْ هَا هُنَا، وَالَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ رَمَى الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ»
