English translation

316. It was narrated that ‘Ammâr bin Yâsir said: “We did Tayammum with the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ using dust, and we wiped our faces and our arms up to the shoulders.” (Sahîh)

Arabic text

315 - أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَسْمَاءَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ قَالَ: «تَيَمَّمْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالتُّرَابِ فَمَسَحْنَا بِوُجُوهِنَا وَأَيْدِينَا إِلَى الْمَنَاكِبِ»
