English translation

336. It was narrated that Abû Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: 'If a dog licks the vessel of any one of you, let him throw (the contents) away and wash it seven times.'" (Sahîh)

Arabic text

335 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي رَزِينٍ وَأَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا وَلَغَ الْكَلْبُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيُرِقْهُ، ثُمَّ لِيَغْسِلْهُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ»
