English translation

3482. It was narrated that 'Āishah, may Allâh be pleased with her, said: "The husband of Barîrah was a slave." (Sahîh)

Arabic text

3452 - أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ رُومَانَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ: «كَانَ زَوْجُ بَرِيرَةَ عَبْدًا»
