3557. It was narrated from Zainab bint Abī Salamah that Umm Ḥabībah said: "I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ say on this Minbar: 'It is not permissible for any woman who believes in Allāh and His Messenger to mourn for anyone who dies for more than three days, except for a husband, (for whom the mourning period is) four months and ten days.'" (Saḥīḥ)
3527 - أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَيُّوبُ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ عَلَى هَذَا الْمِنْبَرِ: «لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ أَنْ تَحِدَّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثِ لَيَالٍ، إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجٍ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا»
