3805. It was narrated from 'Abdur-Raḥmân bin Samurah that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Do not swear by your forefathers or by false gods (At-Tawâghît)." (Sahîh)

3774 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا تَحْلِفُوا بِآبَائِكُمْ وَلَا بِالطَّوَاغِيتِ»
