Commentary

'Abdullāh bin Hakim is not a Companion (of the Prophet ﷺ), although he lived during the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ and was a Muslim. But he did not meet the Prophet ﷺ. In the terminology of the science of Hadīth, such a person is called Mukhādharam. Mukhādharam means the one who is cut off or separated from being called one of the Companions of the Prophet, in spite of belonging to that period of time.
