5008. It was narrated that Abû Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: 'Faith has seventy-odd branches, the most virtuous of which is Lâ ilâha illallâh (there is none worthy of worship except Allâh) and the least of which is removing something harmful from the road. And modesty (Al-Hayâ) is a branch of faith.'" (Sâhîh)

Commentary
This narration mentions something required in every case — saying Lâ ilâha illallâh, and something that is recommended at the least — removing something harmful. This proves that all of the orders and recommendations and all of the prohibitions and censured matters when abided by, such practices are included in Faith.
