English translation

5029. It was narrated from Abû Hurairah that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever stands (in the voluntary night prayer of) Ramaḍān out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven." (Sahîh)

Arabic text

5026 - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَعِيلَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَسْمَاءَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، وَحُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَامَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ»
