English translation

5302. Yaḥya - bin Ishāq - said: "Sālim said: 'What is Al-Istabraq?' I said: 'A thick type of Ad-Dībāj, and a coarse type of it.' He said: 'I heard 'Abdullāh (bin 'Umar) say: "Umar saw a Hullah of Sundus with a man, and he brought it to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and said: 'Buy this'" and he quoted the Hadīth. (Sahīh)

5300 - أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَقَ قَالَ: قَالَ سَالِمٌ: مَا الْإِسْتَبْرَقُ؟ قُلْتُ: مَا غَلُظَ مِنَ الدِّيبَاجِ وَخَشُنَ مِنْهُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ: رَأَى عُمَرُ مَعَ رَجُلٍ حُلَّةَ سُنْدُسٍ، فَأَتَى بِهَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «اشْتَرِ هَذِهِ» وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ
