English translation

5445. It was narrated from 'Umar that the Prophet ﷺ used to seek refuge with Allāh from cowardice, miserliness, the tribulation of the heart and the torment of the grave. (Hasan)

Arabic text

٥٤٤٣ - أَخْبَرَنَا ‌إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا ‌عُبَيْدُ اللهِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ ‌أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ ‌عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ ، عَنْ ‌عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «كَانَ يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ، وَفِتْنَةِ الصَّدْرِ، وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ».
