English translation
770. It was narrated that Abû Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: 'No one of you should pray in a single garment with no part of it on his shoulder.'" (Sahih)

769 - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يُصَلِّيَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ لَيْسَ عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ»

Commentary
This is when the cloth is large. If the cloth is small, it should be fastened like a wraparound (Izâr - a loincloth). If a man does not have clothes, it will be enough to clothe one's body from the navel to the knees.
