English translation

From Abū Hurayrah (raḍiyallāhu ʿanhu) who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wasallam) said, "Verily Allāh is tayyib (good, pure) and does not accept but that which is ṭayyib, and Allāh commanded the Believers that which He commanded the Messengers, so He, the Exalted said, "O Messengers, eat of the good and wholesome and work righteous deeds", and the Exalted said, "O you who believe, eat of the good and wholesome things we have provided you with." Then he mentioned (the case) of a man on a long journey with dishevelled hair, covered with dust, raising his hands to the sky, (saying), 'O Lord, O Lord...' yet his food is (from and with the) unlawful, his drink is (from and with the) unlawful, his clothing is (from and with) the unlawful and his nourishment is (from and with the) unlawful, so how will he be answered?" .
