1188. Abū Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "Indeed the woman is like a rib, if you try to straighten her you will break her, and if you leave her, what you enjoy from her will be with the crookedness." (Saḥih) (He said:) There are narrations on this topic from Abū Dharr, Samurah, and 'Aishah. (Abū 'Eisā said:) The Hadīth of Abū Hurairah is a Hasan Ṣāḥih Hadīth that is Gharīb from this route, (and its chain is Jayyid).
١١٨٨ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ كَالضِّلْعِ، إِنْ ذَهَبْتَ تُقِيمُهَا كَسَرْتَهَا»، وَإِنْ تَرَكْتَهَا اسْتَمْتَعْتَ بِهَا عَلَى عِوَجٍ. وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ وَسَمُرَةَ وَعَائِشَةَ. حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ جَيِّدٌ.
