English translation

1515. Salmān bin ‘Āmir Aḍ-Ḍabbī narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “For a boy, there is an ‘Aqīqah. So spill blood for him, and remove the harm from him.” (Ṣaḥīh) (Another chain) with similar. [Abū ‘Eisā said:] This Hadīth is [Hasan] Ṣaḥīh

١٥١٥ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلَّالُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ‌هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ ‌حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنِ ‌الرَّبَابِ عَنْ ‌سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَعَ الْغُلَامِ عَقِيقَةٌ» فَأَهْرِيقُوا عَنْهُ دَمًا، وَأَمِيطُوا عَنْهُ الْأَذَى. ١٥١٥ (م) - حَدَّثَنَا ‌الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ‌ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ ‌عَاصِمِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ ‌حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنِ ‌الرَّبَابِ ، عَنْ ‌سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ.

Here Al-Adhā (harm) means the hair on the head of a new born baby.
