English translation

1772. Qatādah said: "I asked Anas bin Mālik: 'How were the sandals of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ?' He said: 'They had two straps.'" (Sahih)

Arabic text

١٧٧٢ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ ‌قَتَادَةَ قَالَ: «قُلْتُ ‌لِأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ : كَيْفَ كَانَ نَعْلُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: لَهُمَا قِبَالَانِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
