English translation

181. 'Abdullāh bin Mas'ūd narrated that Allāh's Messenger ﷺ said: "Ṣalātul-Wusta is the ʿAṣr prayer." (Ṣaḥīḥ) [Abū 'Eisā said:] This Ḥadīth is [Ḥasan Ṣaḥīḥ].

Arabic text

١٨١ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ‌وَأَبُو النَّضْرِ ، عَنْ ‌مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ ، عَنْ ‌زُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ ‌مُرَّةَ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ ، عَنْ ‌عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «صَلَاةُ الْوُسْطَى صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ». هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
