English translation

1844. 'Abdullāh bin Ja'far said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ would eat snake cucumber with fresh dates." (Sahīh) [Abū 'Eisā said:] This Hadīth is Hasan Sahīh Gharīb, we do not know of it except as a narration of Ibrāhīm bin Sa'd.

١٨٤٤ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْفَزَارِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ ‌أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ ‌عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ: «كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْكُلُ الْقِثَّاءَ بِالرُّطَبِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ. لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ.
