1920. ‘Amr bin Shu‘aib narrated from his father, from his grandfather, who said that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “He is not one of us who does not have mercy upon our young, nor knows the honor of our elders.” (Hasan) [(Another chain) with similar except that he said in it: “Knows the rights of our elders.”]
١٩٢٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ لَمْ يَرْحَمْ صَغِيرَنَا» وَيَعْرِفْ شَرَفَ كَبِيرِنَا. ١٩٢٠ (م) - حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ نَحْوَهُ. إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «وَيَعْرِفْ حَقَّ كَبِيرِنَا».
