214. Abū Hurairah narrated that Allāh's Messenger ﷺ said: "The five prayers, and Al-Jumu'ah (the Friday prayer) to Al-Jumu'ah are atonement for what is between them, as long as the major sins have not been committed.” (Ṣahīh) [He said:] There are narrations on this topic from Jābir, Anas, and Hanẓalah Al-Usaidī. Abū 'Eisā said: The Ḥadīth of Abū Hurairah is a Ḥasan Ṣahīh Ḥadīth.
٢١٤ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «الصَّلَوَاتُ الْخَمْسُ وَالْجُمُعَةُ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ» كَفَّارَاتٌ لِمَا بَيْنَهُنَّ مَا لَمْ تُغْشَ الْكَبَائِرُ. وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ وَأَنَسٍ وَحَنْظَلَةَ الْأُسَيِّدِيِّ. حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

It is known from this Ḥadīth that if a person avoids committing major sins, the worship and good deeds become a means for the forgiveness of minor sins.
