2209. Ḥudhaifah bin Al-Yamān narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "The Hour will not be established until the happiest of people in the world is Luka' bin Luka'.[1] (Sahih) [Abū 'Eisā said:] This Hadīth is Hasan [Sahīh] Gharīb, we only know of it as a narration of 'Amr bin Abī 'Amr.
٢٢٠٩ - حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ الْأَشْهَلِيُّ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَكُونَ أَسْعَدَ النَّاسِ بِالدُّنْيَا لُكَعُ» بْنُ لُكَعَ. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ، إِنَّمَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو.

The Hour shall only be established when the worst of people would inhabit the earth. They will have an abundance of wealth, and wealth alone shall be considered the hallmark of one's happiness and good fortune.
