English translation

231. Wābiṣah bin Ma'bad narrated: "A man prayed alone behind the row so the Prophet ﷺ ordered him to repeat the Ṣalāt." (Ṣaḥīḥ) Abū 'Eisā said: I heard Al-Jārūd saying, "I heard Waki' saying: 'When a man prays [alone] behind the row, then he has to repeat it.'"

٢٣١ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ ‌عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ ‌هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ ، عَنْ ‌عَمْرِو بْنِ رَاشِدٍ ، عَنْ ‌وَابِصَةَ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ، «أَنَّ رَجُلًا» صَلَّى خَلْفَ الصَّفِّ وَحْدَهُ فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الصَّلَاةَ. سَمِعْتُ ‌الْجَارُودَ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ وَكِيعًا يَقُولُ: إِذَا صَلَّى الرَّجُلُ خَلْفَ الصَّفِّ وَحْدَهُ فَإِنَّهُ يُعِيدُ.
