English translation
2363. Anas said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ never ate on a table, nor did he eat thin bread until he died."[1](Saḥīḥ) [He said:] This Hadīth is Hasan Saḥīḥ Gharīb as a narration of Sa'eed bin Abī 'Arūbah.

٢٣٦٣ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: «مَا أَكَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى خِوَانٍ»، وَلَا أَكَلَ خُبْزًا مُرَقَّقًا حَتَّى مَاتَ. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ.

Commentary
The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ never ate his meals seated comfortably before the dining table with a raised neck held high like rich and carefree people. He only ate simple food sitting on the ground like ordinary poor people.
