Commentary

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ had chosen for himself a life of frugality and austerity, away from the comforts and pleasures of the world. There is a long story connected with this Hadīth that appears in Aḥādīth relating to the Qur'an, Chapter 66, titled At-Tahrīm (The Prohibition).
