2791. Abū 'Uthmān An-Nahdī said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'When one of you is given some fragrance then do not refuse it, for indeed it comes from Paradise.'" (Da'if) [He said:] This Hadīth is Gharīb Hasan, we do not know of other than this narration from Ḥanān (a narrator in the chain). Abū 'Uthmān An-Nahdī's name is 'Abdur-Raḥmān bin Mall, he lived during the time of the Prophet ﷺ but he did not see him, nor did he hear from him.
٢٧٩١ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ أَبُو عُبَيْدِ اللهِ الْبَصْرِيُّ، وَعَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ الصَّوَّافِ، عَنْ حَنَانٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا أُعْطِيَ أَحَدُكُمُ الرَّيْحَانَ» فَلَا يَرُدَّهُ؛ فَإِنَّهُ خَرَجَ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ، لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ. وَلَا نَعْرِفُ حَنَانًا إِلَّا فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ. وَأَبُو عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيُّ اسْمُهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَلٍّ، وَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ زَمَنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَلَمْ يَرَهُ وَلَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْهُ.
