English translation

(1). 3348. Ikrimah narrated from Ibn 'Abbās [may Allāh be pleased with them] regarding: We will call on the guards of Hell.[3] He said: “Abū Jahl said: ‘If I see Muḥammad praying, then I shall stomp upon his neck.’ So the Prophet ﷺ said: ‘If he does, he will be visibly seized by the angels.’” (Ṣaḥīḥ) [Abū ‘Eisā said:] This Hadīth is Ḥasan Gharīb Ṣaḥīḥ.

٣٣٤٨ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ‌عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنْ ‌مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ ‌عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ الْجَزَرِيِّ ، عَنْ ‌عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ‌ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ «{سَنَدْعُ الزَّبَانِيَةَ} قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو جَهْلٍ: لَئِنْ رَأَيْتُ مُحَمَّدًا يُصَلِّي لَأَطَأَنَّ عَلَى عُنُقِهِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَوْ فَعَلَ لَأَخَذَتْهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ عِيَانًا». هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ.
