3656. Umar bin Al-Khaṭṭāb said: "Abū Bakr is our chief, and the best of us, and the most beloved of us to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ.”(Sahīh) [Abū ‘Eisā said:] This Ḥadīth is Sahīh Gharīb.

Arabic text

٣٦٥٦ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ ، عَنْ ‌سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلَالٍ، عَنْ ‌هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ ‌أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ ‌عَائِشَةَ، عَنْ ‌عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ: «أَبُو بَكْرٍ» سَيِّدُنَا وَخَيْرُنَا، وَأَحَبُّنَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ.
