English translation

3755. 'Ali bin Abī Tālib said: "I never heard the Prophet ﷺ mentioning both of his parents being ransomed for anyone except for Sa'd. On the Day of Uḥud, I heard him saying: 'Shoot, Sa'd, may my father and mother be ransomed for you.'" (Saḥīḥ) [Abū 'Eisā said:] This Hadīth is [Hasan Saḥīḥ].

٣٧٥٥ - حَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ ‌مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌وَكِيعٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ ‌سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ ‌عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ ‌عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَ: «مَا سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُفَدِّي أَحَدًا بِأَبَوَيْهِ إِلَّا لِسَعْدٍ،» فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ: ارْمِ سَعْدُ، فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ.
