English translation

3764. Abū Hurairah said: "None has put on sandals – nor worn them, nor ridden a mount, nor a Kūr, after the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ – better than Ja'far [bin Abī Tālib]." (Ṣaḥīḥ)

Arabic text

٣٧٦٤ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ ، عَنْ ‌عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ ‌أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: «مَا احْتَذَى النِّعَالَ،» وَلَا انْتَعَلَ، وَلَا رَكِبَ الْمَطَايَا، وَلَا رَكِبَ الْكُورَ بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَفْضَلُ مِنْ جَعْفَرٍ. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ.
