3808. ‘Alī narrated that the Messenger of Allāh said: “If I was going to appoint anyone of them as a leader without any consultation, I would appoint Ibn Umm ‘Abd over them.” (Da’if) [Abū ‘Eisā said:] This Hadīth is Gharīb, we only know of it through the narration of Al-Ḥārith from ‘Alī.
٣٨٠٨ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا صَاعِدٌ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَوْ كُنْتُ مُؤَمِّرًا أَحَدًا مِنْ غَيْرِ مَشُورَةٍ لَأَمَّرْتُ عَلَيْهِمُ ابْنَ أُمِّ عَبْدٍ». هَذَا حَدِيثٌ إِنَّمَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ.
