English translation

3856. Sahl bin Sa'd said: "We were with the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ while he was excavating the trench, and we were transporting the soil. He passed by us and said: 'O Allāh! There is no life but the life of the Hereafter! So forgive the Anṣār and the Emigrants.'" (Sahīh) [Abū 'Eisā said:] This Hadīth is Hasan Ṣahīh Gharīb from this route. Abū Hāzim's (a narrator in the chain) name is Salamah bin Dīnār Al-A'rāj Az-Zāhid. [He said: There is something on this topic from Anas bin Mālik].

٣٨٥٦ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌أَبُو حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ ‌سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: «كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَحْفِرُ الْخَنْدَقَ،» وَنَحْنُ نَنْقُلُ التُّرَابَ، وَيَمُرُّ بِنَا، فَقَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ لَا عَيْشَ إِلَّا عَيْشَ الْآخِرَهْ ... فَاغْفِرْ لِلْأَنْصَارِ وَالْمُهَاجِرَهْ . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ. وَأَبُو حَازِمٍ اسْمُهُ سَلَمَةُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ الْأَعْرَجُ الزَّاهِدُ.
