English translation

3905. Sa’d narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:“Whoever wishes to humiliate the Quraish then Allāh will humiliate him.” (Ḥasan) [Abū ‘Eisā said:] This Ḥadīth is Gharīb [from this route]. (Another route) Ibn Shihāb, similar to this, with this chain.

٣٩٠٥ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْهَاشِمِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي ‌صَالِحُ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ ، عَنِ ‌الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ ‌مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ ‌يُوسُفَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ ‌مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ ‌أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ يُرِدْ هَوَانَ قُرَيْشٍ» أَهَانَهُ اللهُ. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ. ٣٩٠٥ (م) - حَدَّثَنَا ‌عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي ‌يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي ‌أَبِي ، عَنْ ‌صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ ، عَنِ ‌ابْنِ شِهَابٍ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ.
