3923. Jarīr bin 'Abdullāh narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Indeed Allāh has revealed to me that: Whichever of these three places you go to will be the place of your emigration: Al-Madīnah, Bāhṛāin, or Qinnasrīn." (Da'if) [Abū 'Eisā said:] This Hadīth is Gharīb, we do not know of it except as a narration of Al-Faḍl bin Mūsā. Abū 'Āmir is alone in narrating it.
٣٩٢٣ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ غَيْلَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْعَامِرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ اللهَ أَوْحَى إِلَيَّ: أَيَّ هَؤُلَاءِ الثَّلَاثَةِ نَزَلْتَ فَهِيَ دَارُ هِجْرَتِكَ»: الْمَدِينَةَ، أَوِ الْبَحْرَيْنِ، أَوْ قِنَّسْرِينَ. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ، لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ مُوسَى.

Regarding the issue of emigration, the Prophet ﷺ had been given a choice to select one among the three places. But in the dream he was suggested to select the place of date palms, and the Prophet ﷺ selected Al-Madīnah.
