English translation

594. 'Aishah narrated: "The Prophet ﷺ ordered the construction of Masājid in all Dūr and that they be kept clean and scented." (Sahih)

Arabic text

٥٩٤ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ الْمُؤَدِّبُ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌عَامِرُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ ‌أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ ‌عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: «أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِبِنَاءِ الْمَسَاجِدِ فِي الدُّورِ وَأَنْ تُنَظَّفَ وَتُطَيَّبَ.»
