English translation

837. ‘Aishah narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Five are Fawāsiq[1] which may be killed in the Haram: the mouse, the scorpion, the crow, the kite, and the barbed dog.” (Saḥīḥ) (He said:) There are narrations on this topic from Ibn Mas’ūd, Ibn ‘Umar, Abū Hurairah, Abū Sa’eed, and Ibn ‘Abbās. Abū ‘Eisā said: The Hadīth of ‘Aīshah is a Ḥasan Saḥīḥ Hadīth.

٨٣٧ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّوَارِبِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ ‌الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ ‌عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ ‌عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «خَمْسُ فَوَاسِقَ» يُقْتَلْنَ فِي الْحَرَمِ: الْفَأْرَةُ، وَالْعَقْرَبُ، وَالْغُرَابُ، وَالْحُدَيَّا، وَالْكَلْبُ الْعَقُورُ. وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، وَابْنِ عُمَرَ، وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ، وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ. حَدِيثُ عَائِشَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
