English translation

841. Abū Rāfi' narrated: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ married Maimūnah while he was Ḥalāl,[1] and he stayed with her while he was Ḥalāl, and I was the messenger between the two of them.” (Ṣaḥīḥ) Abū ‘Eisā said: This Ḥadīth is Ḥasan, we do not know of anyone who narrated a chain for it (like this) except for Ḥammād bin Zaid from Maṭar Al-Warrāq, from Rabī‘ah. Mālik bin Anas narrated it from Rabī‘ah, from Sulaimān bin Yasār that the Prophet ﷺ married Maimūnah while he was Ḥalāl, so Mālik’s report is Mursal. Sulaimān bin Bilāl also reported it from Rabī‘ah in Mursal form. Abū ‘Eisā said: It has been reported from Yazīd bin Al-Aṣamm, from Maimūnah who said: “The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ married me while he was Ḥalāl.” Some of them reported from Yazīd bin Al-Aṣamm that the Prophet ﷺ married Maimūnah while he was Ḥalāl. Abū ‘Eisā said: Yazīd bin Al-Aṣamm is Maimūnah’s nephew.

٨٤١ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ‌حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ ‌مَطَرٍ الْوَرَّاقِ ، عَنْ ‌رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ ‌سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ ‌أَبِي رَافِعٍ قَالَ: «تَزَوَّجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَيْمُونَةَ» وَهُوَ حَلَالٌ، وَبَنَى بِهَا وَهُوَ حَلَالٌ، وَكُنْتُ أَنَا الرَّسُولَ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُمَا. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ، وَلَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا أَسْنَدَهُ غَيْرَ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ مَطَرٍ الْوَرَّاقِ عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ. وَرَوَى مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَزَوَّجَ مَيْمُونَةَ وَهُوَ حَلَالٌ. رَوَاهُ مَالِكٌ مُرْسَلًا. وَرَوَاهُ أَيْضًا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ مُرْسَلًا. وَرُوِيَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ قَالَتْ: تَزَوَّجَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ حَلَالٌ. وَرَوَى بَعْضُهُمْ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَزَوَّجَ مَيْمُونَةَ وَهُوَ حَلَالٌ. وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ الْأَصَمِّ هُوَ ابْنُ أُخْتِ مَيْمُونَةَ.
