English translation

872. (Another chain) and they said: "Zaid bin Yuthai'" and this is more correct. (Sahih) Shu'bah was mistaken about this, he said: "Zaid bin (Uthail)."

٨٧٢ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، ‌وَنَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا ‌سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ ‌أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، نَحْوَهُ، وَقَالَا: زَيْدُ بْنُ يُثَيْعٍ، وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ، وَشُعْبَةُ وَهِمَ فِيهِ فَقَالَ: زَيْدُ بْنُ أُثَيْلٍ.
