English translation

1008. Sālim bin 'Abdullāh narrated that his father said: "I saw the Prophet ﷺ, Abū Bakr, and 'Umar walking in front of the funeral." (Hasan)

Arabic text

١٠٠٨ - حَدَّثَنَا ‌الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلَّالُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ‌عَمْرُو بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ ‌هَمَّامٍ ، عَنْ ‌مَنْصُورٍ ‌وَبَكْرٍ الْكُوفِيِّ ‌وَزِيَادٍ ‌وَسُفْيَانَ ، كُلُّهُمْ يَذْكُرُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ مِنَ ‌الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ ‌سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ ، عَنْ ‌أَبِيهِ قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ» وَعُمَرَ يَمْشُونَ أَمَامَ الْجِنَازَةِ.
