1029. 'Aishah narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "No one among the Muslims dies, and Ṣalāt is performed for him by a community of Muslims reaching one hundred, and they intercede (supplicate) for him, except that their intercession for him is accepted." In his narration, 'Alī bin Hujr said: "One hundred or more than that." (Ṣaḥīḥ)
Abū 'Eisā said: The Hadīth of 'Aishah is a Hasan Ṣaḥīḥ Hadīth.
Some have narrated it in Mawqūf rather than Marfūʿ form.

Commentary
In the light of various narrations, it is proven that if in the funeral prayer of a Muslim, the number of participants exceeds one hundred, or forty, or there are more than three rows, and they pray to Allāh ﷻ sincerely, Allāh ﷻ forgives the deceased.
