15. 'Abdullāh bin Abū Qatādah narrated from his father: “The Prophet ﷺ prohibited that a man should touch his penis with his right hand.” (Ṣaḥīh) There are narrations on this topic from 'Āishah, Salmān, Abū Hurairah, and Sahl bin Ḥunaif. Abū 'Eisā said: This Ḥādīth is Ḥasan Ṣaḥīh. The name of Abū Qatādah [Al-Anṣārī] is: Al-Ḥārīth bin Rib'i. This is acted upon according to the people of knowledge [in general], they dislike Istinjā' with the right hand.
١٥ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ الْمَكِّيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «نَهَى أَنْ يَمَسَّ الرَّجُلُ ذَكَرَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ». وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، وَسَلْمَانَ، وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، وَسَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ. وَأَبُو قَتَادَةَ اسْمُهُ: الْحَارِثُ بْنُ رِبْعِيٍّ. وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ: كَرِهُوا الِاسْتِنْجَاءَ بِالْيَمِينِ.
